REHOBOTH BEACH & HISTORIC LEWES Delaware
Located on the Atlantic Coast only 2 hours from Washington, D.C., Baltimore, MD, or Philadelphia, PA, you can enjoy a beach resort that offers tranquility and hospitality. It would be difficult to find another location to match the resort area's variety and charm. One of downtown Rehoboth's greatest assets is a mile-long boardwalk which allows for bike-riding, strolling or jogging. Other activities and special events on the "boards" include miniature golf, arcades, a small amusement park, bandstand musical entertainment and numerous festivals. Here you can sit and watch the sunrise, enjoying our many migrating dolphins and our latest visitors, pelicans. Resort eateries and restaurants offer a wide array of specialties from the catch of the day to French cuisine. The resort's beautiful white sandy beaches are unparalleled!
Founded in 1631, Lewes' townspeople take great pride in their historic heritage and look forward to the opportunity to share it with you. Lewes Delaware is situated where the Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean meet at Cape Henlopen. Nowhere can the beauty of Cape Henlopen State Park be equaled. In this preserved land you can find miles of beautiful beaches, nature trails and bird sanctuaries. Lewes is a walking town. Within a half square mile, you will find the Historic district, museums, and a variety of fine boutiques, shops and restaurants.
